William K. "Ken" Miller

DOVER- William K. “Ken” Miller, 89, died on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Whitmore) Miller who died on July 28, 2017. The couple wed on March 8, 1958.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry. A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Parkville Cemetery.

Born on February 9, 1934 in Canton, OH, he was the son of the late William J. and Freida (Neice) Miller. William was a retired maintenance supervisor at the Derry Township Municipal Authority.

BRCM Miller served our country in the United States Navy from April 1951 to July 1970 where he received a National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Ribbon and China Service Medal. He was past commander of the VFW Post 537 in Etters and a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791, Fleet Reserve, and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Jacksonville, FL. Ken was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the F&AM of York #266. He enjoyed road trips with his wife, fishing, wood working, spending time at his cabin in Bedford and loved the U.S. Navy

Mr. Miller is survived by three sons, Allen Miller and his wife, Connie of Alpena, MI, Scott Miller and his wife, Lori of York Haven and Brian Miller and his wife, Andrea of Elizabeth City, NC; three grandchildren, Cody Miller and his wife, Sara, Charlie Miller and Casey Miller; great grandson, Theo Miller; and sister, Rhea Landes of Dover. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hellen.
