Born on September 22, 1940 in Stewartstown, he was a son of the late David E. and Anna M. (Cochran) Amspacher. He graduated from Millersville University with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Arts. Bill was a master craftsman, a school teacher, and had a long career working for Adams Electric.
Bill was a kind, loving man who will be dearly missed by many. He loved spending time with family and friends on the back porch or in his workshop. Bill enjoyed fly-fishing, woodworking, reading, playing cards, and smoking his pipe. You could often find him down at his shop: building PA Long Rifles, various musical instruments, and gifts for his family. Bill was an adoring husband, father, granddaddy, and great-granddaddy. He was always there when we needed unconditional love or sage advice.
Along with his wife, Charlotte, Bill is survived by: his son, Brett S. Amspacher and his wife, Donna of Morris Plains, NJ; daughter, Kim S. Wisnom and her husband, Gordon Jr. of Stewartstown, PA. Five grandchildren: Ryan Amspacher and his wife, Melissa; Tyler Amspacher; Emily Amspacher; Rachel Wisnom; Nicholas Wisnom and his wife, Lauren. Two great grandchildren: Ellie Wisnom and Nixon Wisnom. Two sisters: Betty Orwig and Linda Wierman and her husband, Charlie; as well as, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Amspacher; and two sisters, Helen Lytle and Dolores Eaton.
