Wesley Miles Booth, Jr., 94, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 under the loving care at Pappus House. He was the husband of Karen L. Booth.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 at SonLight Chapel, 53 Main St, Felton, with Alan Miller officiating the service.
Born November 23, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Florence (Linfoot) and Wesley Booth, Sr. Wes graduated from Great Neck Highschool in Long Island, NY, in 1949 before enlisting into the United States Marine Corps. He served as a navigator in the Korean War from 1951-1954. After his time in the military, he returned to school where he graduated from Hofstra College in 1957. A lifelong golfer, Wes spent his retirement as a Course Ranger for Cool Creek Golf Club. When he wasn’t patrolling the fairway and winning club championships, he was teaching his grandchildren at the driving range and schooling them on the greens. He was an avid fan of the Eagles and Penn State.
He was blessed to have not just many years in his life, but much life in his years. A child at heart to the end, Wes always had a song, story or joke to share. If you did not know the Marine Corp Hymn, you would have it memorized after spending an afternoon with him. He was a member of SonLight Chapel in Felton and the Red Lion VFW.
In addition to his wife, Wes is survived by children James Booth, Susan Carbaugh, Edward Fink, R. Jason Fink and Kristin Sweigard; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Doris, Betty and Joan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SonLight Chapel, 53 Main St, Felton, PA 17322.
