YORK – Wayne W. Kintop, 75, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. Please contact Alicia Poe, daughter of Mr. Kintop, for more information. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Born May 2, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William H. and Evelyn L. (Tobiason) Kintop. Wayne was a 1968 graduate of Brooklyn Park High School in Arundel, MD. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps where he bravely served our country for over three years, earning a National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Badge and a Sharpshooter Badge. After his enlistment, he went on to work as a heavy equipment mechanic, working most of his career at Bethlehem Steel where he later retired. Outside of his working life, Wayne enjoyed racing and working on cars in his younger years, fishing, hunting, bird watching, collecting guns, and watching football. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are his daughters, Alicia J. Poe and her husband Michael of Glen Rock and Asheala J. McMillion and her husband Casey of York Haven; and four grandsons, Tyler, Sean, and Cody Poe and Carter McMillion. He is preceded in death by his life partner, Mary Anne Kintop and his sister, Dawn Tomlinson.
