Waits J. Hughes

DOVER - Waits J. Hughes, 90, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of the late Betty (Funt) Hughes. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hughes was born on August 2, 1926 in Mitchell County, North Carolina; a son of the late Waits J. and Irene (Ingram) Hughes. He owned and operated Jay Hughes Used Cars until his retirement. Mr. Hughes was an avid horseman and a US Merchant Marine Veteran of WWII.
