Virginia Y. Eichelberger

YORK- Virginia Yvonne (Boogher) Eichelberger, 91, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 66 years to the late Howard F. Eichelberger who died on September 1, 2017. Born November 26, 1931 in York to the late Martha E. (Spahr) and Frederick F. Boogher, Sr.

She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, and retired from the York County Courthouse where she worked in Domestic Relations.

She was a great cook and enjoyed sharing her recipes. She loved shopping and going on vacation with her many friends to Ocean City, MD. She collected holiday musical collectibles, and her favorite television program was The Price is Right.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Anna E. Boogher; two nephews, Barry L. Boogher and wife Deborah, and Richard A. Boogher and wife Kelly; a niece Gina M. Boogher; one great niece, one great nephew and three great, great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two sons, Craig A. and Brian L. Eichelberger and a brother, Frederick F. Boogher, Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM with The Reverend Joshua Gill of Eastminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
