Victoria Ann Trapani, 72, originally of Bowie, MD, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Born September 18, 1953 at Bitburg Air Force Base, Bitburg Germany, she was a daughter of the late Colonel Renato Victor Trapani and Dorothy (Devan) Trapani. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Master’s degree in Secondary Education. Victoria was a middle school English and Social Studies teacher at Sandy Spring Friends School in Olney Maryland. Teaching was her passion. She touched the lives of many students during her years at Sandy Spring Friends School, bringing history to life and fostering a love of reading in her students. She was also a passionate believer in volunteer work, giving back, and paying it forward. Among her favorite causes were the ASPCA and the Maryland Food Bank.

Victoria is survived by her sister, Nancy Jean Harper; two nieces, Elizabeth Marie Harper and Kathleen Ann Harper; and two grand-nephews Owen Rhys Osborne and Jonah Alan Ballard. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Devan) Trapani and her father, Colonel Renato Victor Trapani.

Victoria will be best remembered for her love of teaching, reading, ballet, and her passion for animals.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is honored to serve the family.
