Victoria Romaine “Vicky” (Ludwig) Bowman, 92, of York, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026 at York South Nursing & Rehab. She was the wife of the late Philip E. Bowman.
A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Vicky was born on September 7, 1933 in York, a daughter of the late Ceryal and Bertha (Falkenstine) Ludwig. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and completing color books and puzzles. Vicky loved nothing more than spending time with her family, particularly the fun had during their 61 years vacationing in Bethany Beach. She was a member of Spry Church where she sung in the Choir. In her younger years, Vicky and Phil were members of Christ Lutheran Church in Spry.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by two daughters, Wendy S. and husband John Hartman of Camp Hill and Cindy L. and husband Kenneth Seaman, Jr. of York; a son, Jeffrey P. Bowman and his partner Christina Wargo of Carlisle; six grandchildren who affectionately called her “Dickdee”, Dr. Michael and wife Heidi Hartman, Andrew and wife Kelly Hartman, Jeston Bowman and wife Kristin Hershey, Caryn and husband Travis Ellis, Kenneth Seaman, III, and Alexis and husband Dylan Beam; eleven great grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, John, and Noah Hartman, Dylan Bowman, Oliver and Sebastian Ellis, Riley and Dustin Beam, and Carson and Hadley Hershey. Vicky was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Stambaugh and Rosalie Stine; and two brothers, Carlton and Nelson Ludwig.
