Vernetta G. Nettie" (Keener) Smith

YORK- Vernetta G. "Nettie" (Keener) Smith, 87, died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Rest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of the late George J. Smith. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John's (Blymire's) U.C.C. 1009 S. Blymire Rd. in Dallastown. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend Curtis R. Weber will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Blymire's U.C.C. Cemetery in Dallastown. Mrs. Smith was born in York on August 18, 1919, a daughter of the late Clinton and Maggie (Raver) Keener. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, babysitter and mother to all children. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. John's (Blymire's) U.C.C. in Dallastown and AARP. Mrs. Smith leaves two daughters: Pattie L. Smith of York and Debra K. Lehman and her husband Michael of York, three grandchildren: Susan, David, and Matthew Lehman, and a great granddaughter, Danielle Lehman.
