Ursula Benzel

DOVER—Ursula (Benedyczak) Benzel, 69, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 at UPMC—Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of William “Bill” Benzel to whom she was married for 48 years. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 25, 1952 in Boussoit, Belgium, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Zofia (Sochia) Benedyczak. She was employed as a packer with Snyder’s of Hanover for several years until her retirement and previously worked as a waitress at various area restaurants. Ursula loved primitive decorations, was an avid gardener but most of all she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Benzel is survived by two sons, William A. Benzel of E. Berlin and Marc E. Benzel and his wife, Geri of York; one daughter, Tina M. Blackburn and her husband, Ralph of Dover; seven grandchildren; Brandy, Jillian, Zachary, Avery, Ella, Trista and Emma. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 N.
