Uble M. Frost

LANCASTER- Reverend Uble M. Frost, 88, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Anne H. “Nan” (Homsher) Frost, who passed away on June 30, 2022. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2021. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Rd., York. A second service will be planned at a later date At Wentz’s United Church of Christ in Lansdale, with burial in the church cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born on April 28, 1934 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Uble and Emma (Murphy) Frost. Uble was a former pastor at Hummelstown U.C.C., St. Stephen’s U.C.C. and St. Paul’s U.C.C. in New Oxford. He served as camp director for church camps every summer. Ministry was a second career for Mr. Frost. Prior to graduating from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 1966, he obtained an engineering degree. After retiring, he continued to serve as an interim pastor for various churches. Mr. Frost is survived by his son, Uble M. Frost, Jr of Elizabethtown; daughter, Dr. Holly Frost of Ephrata; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Frost of Bala Cynwyd.
