Troy G. Kunkle

RED LION – Troy G. Kunkle, 63, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Velvet L. (Stough) Kunkle to whom he was married for 31 years.

Born November 5, 1962, in York, he was a son of the late Glen V. Kunkle and Juanita (Fink). For most of his working life, Troy was a truck mechanic at Evergreen. After working as a mechanic for several years, he moved to truck driving. Outside of his hard work, Troy enjoyed collecting and fixing John Deer tractors, hosting cookouts for his family, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, relaxing with his two cats, and taking long walks.

In addition to his beloved wife, Velvet, he is survived by his son, Devin R. Trimmer and his wife Angela M.; a grandson, Jacob A. Abremski; and two cats, Rey and Fancy Boy. He is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Agnus Kunkle; and his uncle, Donald Kunkle.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion, is honored to serve the family.
