Tonja L. (Gentzler) Blouse

YORK – Tonja Lee (Gentzler) Blouse, 67, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at her residence.

Born on January 30, 1958, in York, Tonja was the daughter of the late Janet L. (Naylor) Gentzler. She spent most of her working life as a machine operator at Danskin and held various service industry positions, ultimately finishing her career as a crossing guard—a role that brought her great joy. Known for her strong work ethic and caring nature, Tonja devoted herself to taking care of everyone and everything around her. She lovingly tended to her plants, looked after outdoor animals, and, most of all, cherished her family. Often described as the matriarch of her family, she was always checking in on loved ones and bringing everyone together for gatherings. In her quiet moments, Tonja enjoyed watching The Walking Dead or Jerry Springer while indulging in her favorite foods.

Surviving are her three children, Benji S. Campbell, David W. Gentzler, and Nicole L. Campbell; eleven grandchildren, Damek, Braxton, Desiree, Shaiayne, Shayla, Michael, Sha’Quell, Ja’Quan, Benji’Anna, Benji, and Ty’Quez; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Gregory A. Gentzler; and a sister, Lynn M. Garver. She is preceded in death by a brother, Michael S. Gentzler.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is assisting the family with arrangements.
