Timothy S. Mummert

Dover—Timothy S. Mummert, 70, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at his residence in Dover Township. He was the husband of the Lu Ann J. (Young) Mummert to whom he was married for 44 years.

Born July 25, 1955 in York, he was the son of the late Paul L. and Miriam M. (Zeigler) Mummert.

He was employed with Harley Davidson for 33 years in their maintenance department until his retirement in 2008.

An avid hunter and fishmen, he was also a member of the Yellow Breeches Anglers Club. He was a 1973 graduate of West York High School and a part of their baseball team. A member of Prince Athletic Association and Shiloh American Legion – Post 791, he also enjoyed playing softball for years, playing for Harley Davidson and American Legion teams.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mummert is also survived by his son, Travis S. Mummert and his wife, Jennifer of Dover; two daughters, Stevi M. Mummert and her fiancé, JD Wolverton of Dover and Jessica M. Gall and her husband, Coty of Dover; eleven grandchildren, Gabriel, Faith, Mason, Greyson, Lilli, Tristan, Casey, Tyson, Pyper, Canyon and Ridge; one brother, Reg Mummert and his wife, Judy of Dover; one sister, Joanne Spangler of Elizabethtown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy T. Mummert; Brother-in-law, Clair Spangler Jr., niece, Connie Spangler; nephew, Craig Spangler and great niece Sarah Akin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00PM, Friday, October 03, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant, Amy Favorito. A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00PM, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
