Thomas "Tom" Allen McCrary, Sr.

Thomas "Tom" Allen McCrary, Sr., 82, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Joan Marie (Buchen) McCrary.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Born February 24, 1943 in York, Tom was a son of the late Charles A. and Lovie (Smith) McCrary. Tom retired form Consolidated Freight where he worked as a truck driver for many years. In his free time Tom loved to tinker in his garage, doing yard work, wood working, and fishing. He will always be remembered for being very pleasant, always jovial and kind.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his five children, Thomas A. McCrary, Jr., Denise Spangler, Zachary McCrary and his wife Lieu Vu, Troy McCrary and his wife Judy, and Jeremy Buchen and his domestic partner Rachel Evans; eight grandchildren, Lance Snyder, Kirsten Friedrich, Jamie McCrary, Thomas McCrary III, Nathaniel McCrary, Josie Evans, Nick Miller, and Subin Vu; eleven great grandchildren, Carter, Sophia, Elijah, Piper, Kane, Selena, Rowen, Wesley, Penelope, Quinn, and Aubrey; and a niece, Judy Bostian. Tom is preceded in death by his first wife, Cheryl Marie McCrary; a brother, Dennis Smith; and a sister, Dorothy (Huff) Horner.
