Thomas H. Pope

Thomas H. Pope, 91, of York, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Janet L. (Corbett) Pope to whom he was married for 58 years.

Born June 9, 1934 in Tobyhanna, Monroe Co., he was the son of the late Harold and Glendora (Strunk) Pope.

He was employed with Dentsply for many years serving as the company’s treasurer until his retirement.

An avid golfer, he spent whatever free time he could on the golf course, including the Out Door Country Club, where he was a member.

Mr. Pope is survived by five children, two step children, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seventeen siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is honored to serve the family.
