Thomas L. Holt

EAST BERLIN – Thomas Lee Holt, 79, passed away March 27, 2024 at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the husband of Frances Jane (Taylor) Holt, to whom he was married for 20 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will take place Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM, located at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, with Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder officiating the service. There will be a visitation prior from 1-2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born July 28, 1944 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late John William II and Ellen Marie (Hussier) Holt. After graduating high school, Mr. Holt began welding school where he learned the trade. He was a welder with BAE Systems for 37 years until his retirement.

Outside of work, Thomas was a prior member of York Motorcycle Club, enjoyed riding his own motorcycle, loved his antique 1974 Corvette Stingray, appreciated traveling to nursing homes to bring joy to the residents with his therapy dog Caprice, adored going on walks with his beloved wife, enjoyed playing different card games and board games, and liked to go hunting for deer.

In addition to his wife, Frances, he is survived by two step-sons, Gerrett Finke and his wife Vicki Karandrikas and Anthony Finke and his wife Jessica; two step-grandchildren, Anna and Blaine Finke; a brother John William Holt III; and a sister, Ellen Moon. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Harner) Holt.
