FELTON - Thomas Gizzi, Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025 at his home in Felton, PA. Tom was a big personality full of love, laughter, and stories. He loved his family, farm, friends, sports, and his many adventures. He enjoyed mowing and driving around the neighborhood. Tom had great compassion for children’s hospitals, especially St. Jude’s and Hershey Children’s Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Pleasant View Church, 10384 Winterstown Rd, Red Lion, PA 17356, with Pastor Jay McWilliams officiating the service. Viewings will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place at Red Lion Cemetery.

Tom was born in Manhattan, NY, as the youngest child of the late Leo Gizzi, Sr. and Mary (Pecika) Gizzi, but was raised in Rising Sun, Maryland. He graduated in 1963 from Rising Sun High School. He met, and then married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn (Richter) Gizzi in 1963. They would have celebrated 62 years of marriage in November. He is also survived by his daughter Rose Grimm (Greg) of Sanford, NC and his son Thomas Gizzi, Jr. (Tina) of Felton, PA; his grandchildren Natasha Grimm of Sanford, NC, Nathaniel Grimm (Kelly) of Wendell, NC, Ashlyn Gizzi of Felton, PA, and Makenna Myers (Jake) of Felton, PA. His joy continued with 5 great-grandchildren: Isabella, Cayden, & Harper Grimm of Wendell, NC and Maisy & Mack Myers of Felton, PA. He is also survived by his two brothers, Leo Gizzi, Jr. (Grace) and Ralph Gizzi of Conowingo, MD, as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Roseann Curran of Martinez, CA and many other treasured family members.

Tom was a Railroader through and through. He survived the many buyouts and spent 42 years riding the tracks. Tom was a member of the Chanceford Township Planning Commission for 18 years, the 12th Ward Democratic Club since 1969, the Moose Fraternity for 49 years, the Elks Lodge of Red Lion for 35 years, and the Yorkana Game & Gun Club.

Tom will be remembered for his constant smile, humor, laughter, and business-sense. His influence will be carried for many generations.
