RED LION – Thomas E. Ferguson, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Susan (Dawson) Stump Ferguson to whom he was married for 12 years. He was the also the husband of the late Sandra A. (Weisensale) Ferguson. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Bethlehem Stonepile United Methodist Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Road, Red Lion with Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach and Rev. Timothy Funk officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Tuesday at the Church. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Tom was born on March 2, 1941 in Philadelphia, a son of the late Thomas E. and Anna C. (Donelly) Ferguson. He first retired from Quaker Oats Company and then later also retired from Cecil County, MD Sheriff’s Department. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ferguson is survived by a daughter, Cynthia K. and husband James Anderson of Stewartstown; a son, Gregory S. and wife Bonnie Ferguson of New Freedom; a stepson, Brent D. Stump of State College; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Paulson of Newark, DE and Annetta Dale of Wilmington, DE. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas E. Ferguson, Jr. and Jeffrey M. Ferguson; and a daughter, Deborah E. Little. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Stonepile UM Church, 250 Bethlehem Church Rd., Red Lion, PA 17356 or to St. Paul’s UM Church, 45 First Ave., PO Box 250, Red Lion, PA 17356.
