Tanya E. Doweary

YORK- Tanya E. Doweary, 75, died on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Pappas House.

Born on June 3, 1951 in York, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Armella (Key) Doweary.

Tanya enjoyed her daily trips and activities with Shadowfax over the years.

Tanya is survived by her two brothers, John Doweary and his wife, Carol of York and Charles A. “Pete” Doweary and his wife, Karen M. of York; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin Doweary and Steve Doweary.

A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. with Dr. Larry T. Walthour officiating. A viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
