Sydney Anthony Stephenson

YORK- Sydney Anthony Stephenson, 55, died on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Bethgee (Simms) Stephenson to whom he was married for 32 years. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church, 4190 Susquehanna Trail, York with Pastor Bill Schutt officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Holy Savior Cemetery. Born on December 17, 1961 in Kingston, Jamaica, he was a son of the late William and Adassa (Howe) Stephenson. Sydney was Vice President of World Wide Flight Services for 27 years. Mr. Stephenson was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Along with his wife, Bethgee, Sydney is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Barnett of York and Kaidian Stephenson of York; two grandchildren, Crystalain Barnett and Khloe Brodie; two brothers, Oscar Stephenson and his wife, Dawn of Poconos and Kenneth Stephenson of Kingston, Jamaica; sister in law, Audrey Stephenson of Orlando, FL; mother in law, Tatlin Simms of York; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenroy Stephenson and Hector Stephenson; and one sister, Delores Fenton.
