Susan D. Stump Ferguson

Susan (Dawson) Stump Ferguson, 80, of Red Lion, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Galen K. Stump and late Thomas E. Ferguson.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Paul’s Church of Red Lion, 45 First Avenue, Red Lion with her Pastor, The Rev. Christopher Nauta officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Church. Attendees are encouraged to dress casually. Susan was born on September 26, 1945 in Cumberland, MD; a daughter of the late Walter E. and Virginia (Rudisill) Dawson. She was a graduate of the former Julius T. Wright School for Girls in Mobile, AL and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University. Susan worked at National Central Bank and its successor Wells Fargo, until her retirement. She was a member of Red Lion Historical Society and was an active member at St. Paul’s Church.

Mrs. Stump Ferguson is survived by her son, Brent D. Stump of State College, PA; her sister-in-law, Sarah Ward; brother-in-law, Bradley Stump; two nieces, and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Janet Stump; and brother-in-law, Todd Stump.
