Susan K. Reiley

Listen to Obituary

Susan K. (Ahalt) Reiley, 79 of York, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Emory C. “Chip” Reiley to whom she was married for 42 years.

Born May 09, 1947 in York, she was the daughter of the late Richard E. and Josephine C. (Harrold) Ahalt.

She began her career in the printing industry as the owner of Shiloh Graphics, an all-women-operated business that she proudly led for several years. She later joined Ream Printing as a sales representative, where she remained until her retirement in 2025.

She was a member of the Rotary Club of York-East and the Business Referral Exchange Networking Group of York. As a founding director and dedicated member of East Coast Volleyball, she took great pride in supporting the sport and the many athletes whose lives it touched. She was a 1965 graduate of Central High School and treasured the lifelong friendships she maintained, faithfully gathering each month with her classmates as part of the "Breakfast Bunch." She found joy in spending time at the beach, playing cards with family and friends, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother whose greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her family, especially sharing laughter, stories, and meals around the kitchen table.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reiley is survived by four children, James M. Rife II of York, Julie M. Rife of York, Jaime L. Harner of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Chad M. Reiley of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Adam, Kylee, Forrest, Kaelyn, Matthew, and Gregory; two great grandchildren; one brother, Richard E. Ahalt II; sister-in-law, Beth M. Reiley and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra L. Ramer.

A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held at a later date to be determined. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is honored to serve the family.
