DALLASTOWN- Susan Elizabeth (Peters) Rogers, 76, of York Township, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was the wife of Charles Streett Rogers. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on January 25, 2024.


A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 3, 2024 at New Harmony Presbyterian Church, 2295 Delta Rd. in Brogue, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Susan's obituary at HeffnerCare.com Burial of her cremated remains will be in the columbarium at the church. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements.


Mrs. Rogers was born in West Chester, PA on March 27, 1948, the daughter of Clytis Glenn and Ruth Lee (Dickens) Peters. She graduated from West Chester High School and, in 1968 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Susan worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines, was a chem. lab technician for E.I. DuPont Co., and worked for the Bank of Delaware as a travel agent for the Dupont Co. She was a member of New Harmony Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon, elder, and a senior high Sunday school teacher. Susan volunteered for the Kaltrieder Library as an aide and for Community Reach Food Bank. She was an eight-year member of the Board of Directors at Red Lion Country Club, which became Copper Beach and was also an eight-time Club Champion on the golf course, where she was a past chairlady and team captain. Susan was 2006 and 2008 Women’s Club Champion at Cool Creek Golf Course and was a member of York County Golf Association. She was a tax consultant for H&R Block and Frank Storm & Company in Dallastown, where she worked seasonally for over 10 years.


Mrs. Rogers is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Lee O’Donnell and her husband Brandon of Dallastown, Meghan Lyn Good and her husband Brian of Tucson, AZ, and Rachel Ann Markey and her husband Joe of Dallastown; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Trent, Lana, Emerson, Micah, Maisy, Julian, and Isabelle; and two nieces, Ruth and Jennine. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Lee Mills.
