Sue (Stockdale) Sheperd

DALLASTOWN – Sue (Stockdale) Sheperd, 73, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at York Hospital. She was the wife of James H. Sheperd to whom she was married for 31 years. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Kasie Watkins officiating. A viewing will be held from 2-3:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Sheperd was born on May 8, 1943 in Columbus, OH a daughter of the late David and Marge (Morgan) Stockdale. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Baltimore, MD. Sue was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of VFW in Columbus and American Legion in Colmar Manor, MD. She was an avid reader, loved tending to her garden and listening to Elvis Pressley. Sue also was a licensed hairdresser and enjoyed styling hair. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sheperd is survived by a daughter, Pam and husband Bill McCann of Dallastown; a grandson, Joshua McCann; a sister, Nancy and husband Arthur Johnson of Columbus; and a cousin, Adele and husband Michael Perkins of Columbus. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael D. Feasel; and her brother, David Stockdale, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Stroke Association, 9707 E.
