Stephen E. Beck

DOVER- Stephen E. Beck, 56, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Officiating the service will be Betty Frey, Certified Celebrant A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service. Steve was born on June 21, 1954, the son of the late Emory Beck and Phyllis (Tome) Jones. Stephen worked as a manager for the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits stores throughout York and Lancaster County before retiring in December 2009. Mr. Beck was a 1972 graduate of Dover Area High School. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Ryan, and attending his football, basketball and AAU basketball tournaments. Steve enjoyed reading and was a diehard Washington Redskins fan. Steve is survived by a daughter, Angela Beck of Dover; a grandson, Ryan Beck; a sister, Deb Snelbaker; and best friends Edward & Patricia Douglas of Oil City.
