Shirley Ruth Lilly

Shirley Ruth (Conley) Lilly, 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at UPMC Memorial. She was the wife of Leroy Lilly to whom she was married to for 70 years.

Born April 8, 1940 in Marion, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Henry Frank and Lyde Ruth (Rose) Conley. During her career she worked at First National Bank in the collections department for 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, scrap booking, and cruises and vacations. She loved her grandkids, great-grandkids and being around people.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lilly is survived by her daughter, Theresa Buckingham and her spouse, Carter Stahlman of Glen Rock; four grandchildren; Tommy and his wife Elizabeth, Albert and his wife Christine, William, and Brandon and his wife Lisa; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, and Etta; and a son-in-law, Tom Clayter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, April A. Claytor and her seven siblings, Jimmy, Peggy, Jean, Hazel, Velma, Bill, and May.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York is honored to serve the family.
