Shirley Jean (Mcevoy) Bratkowski

RED LION – Shirley Jean (McEvoy) Bratkowski, 80, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Francis J. Bratkowski, and the couple would celebrate 61 years of marriage on September 8.

Graveside Ceremony will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Holy Rosary Cemetery, 7305 German Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21222 with Pastor Steve Schmuck officiating. Viewings will be held 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA 17356.

Born April 8, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Bratkowski was a daughter of the late Charles McEvoy, Sr. and Alice (Hoppe) McEvoy. Mrs. Bratkowski was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to be with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, board games, crossword puzzles, movies, arts and crafts, collecting coins, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bratkowski leaves behind her four children; Joseph Bratkowski and his husband Todd Backus; Pamela Brigman and her husband Thomas Jr., Linda Bratkowski, and Carolyn Stachowski and her husband James Sr.; twelve grandchildren, Melissa Brumfitt, Joseph Bratkowski, Jr., David Sullivan, Jr., Deneene Dutton, Thomas Gittings, Jr., Devon Gittings, James Stachowski, Jr., Isaac Stachowski, Clayton Gittings, Bruce Stachowski, Aidyn Brigman, and Michael Stachowski; six great grandchildren, Alyza Presgraves, Jeffrey Presgraves, Nevaeh Dutton, Kolby Bratkowski, Julia Dutton, and Hayes Bratkowski; six siblings, Loretta, Dorothy, Charles, Jr., Dolores, Elaine, and Ray; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bratkowski is preceded in death by 5 siblings, Alice, Margaret, Robert, Richard, and James.
