Shirley W. (Wink) Hamer

YORK- Shirley W. (Wink) Hamer, 89, passed away Thursday November 13, 2025 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ashley S. Hamer who passed away December 20, 2021. The couple shared 66 years of marriage.

A private graveside service for family only will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, PA 17402 with Pastor David Kominsky officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born October 25, 1946 in Clearfield, she was a daughter of the late George and Alice (Wise) Wink. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, and jigsaw puzzles.

Mrs. Hamer is survived by her son Ricky A. Hamer and wife, Loretta of Hanover; and two sisters Norma J. Wink and Elsie Bloom. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie G. Hamer.
