Shirley H. (Allison) Edwards

WILLIAMSPORT - Shirley Helen (Allison-Cochran) Edwards, 73, died on Monday, August 27, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services, South, where she resided since Sept. 2005. She was born August 7, 1934 in Williamsport and was a daughter of the late Joseph E. & Marybell (Borden) Allison. Shirley was married to the late Billy Edwards who preceded her in death in 1983. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation and she enjoyed listening to Country and Western music. Surviving are one son; Robert E. Cochran, Williamsport, five daughters; Frances Wright, Jane Edwards, Sarah Irvin, Mary Forrest and Tracy Cochran all of Williamsport, 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two step sons; Richard and Bill Edwards, three step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, two brothers; Donald Allison of Williamsport and Earl Allison of Linden, and one sister; Dorothy Engle of Williamsport. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport with Father Michael Zipay officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. There will be a public viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
