Sharon L. Chupak, 62, of Red Lion passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026 at her residence in York Twp. She was the fiancé of Matthew A. Zeigler with whom she spent the past 24 years.
A Celebration of Life Tribute will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rachel Zeigler. A viewing will be held from 9:00 – 11:00AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Born April 28, 1964 in Farrel, Mercer Co., she was the daughter of Opal C. (Foust) Snavely of Hollywood, MD and the late Glenn R. Chupak.
She was employed as an office coordinator with Helena Agi-Enterprises in Red Lion and previously with American Tile in Mt. Wolf.
She found joy in the beauty of nature, especially tending to her flowers. An avid outdoorswoman, she cherished traveling to the mountains and spending time at her family cabins in Lycoming and Juniata Counties, where she delighted in watching the black bears and taking in the peaceful surroundings. During her high school years, she was a majorette, and also formed lasting bonds with the many exchange students her family welcomed into their home, maintaining lifelong friendships with many of them.
Sharon is also survived by one brother, Michael E. Chupak; one sister, Sheila K. Eckert and her wife, Julie; step father, Jeffery Snavely; two step brothers, Michael T. Snavely and Jeffery K. Snavely and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to H.O.P.E (Help for Oncology Problems & Emotional Support) at https://hopelifeline.org/donate-online/ or honor Sharon's memory by planting a tree or flower.
