WATSONTOWN — Sarah Kathryn (Betts) Reichelderfer, 91, of Watsontown, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at Watsontown Health and Rehab. She was born Oct. 15, 1919, a daughter of the late Howard O. Betts, Sr. and Bertha (Snyder) Betts. In 1941, Sarah married Edward F. Reichelderfer who preceded her in death. They had enjoyed 45 years together. She was a 1939 graduate of Milton High School. Sarah was a dedicated homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was a talented cook and enjoyed family meals together. One of Sarah’s hobbies was puzzles. She liked crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She also played the organ. Left to cherish her memory is three daughters and two sons in-law, Edna Mae and Robert Newton Jr., of Watsontown, Helen K. Leon, of Milton, and Mary L. and James Bieber, of Muncy; one son and daughter in-law, Howard F. and Nancy Reichelderfer, of Hughesville; eight grandchildren, Tina Cummings, Carl Leon Jr., Donna Beck, Michael Leon, Edna Reichelderfer, Cheyanne Reichelderfer, Michelle Cashdollar, and Melissa Newton; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Edward Reichelderfer, and three brothers, Dale M., Howard O. Jr., and Paul R. Reichelderfer. There will be a public viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, where the funeral service will be held at 2 with Pastor Doug Eberly officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
