YORK – Sandra L. “Sandy” (Chilcoat) Bode, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dalton L. “Dale” Bode. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Josh Kleinfeld officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel. Sandy’s Tribute Service will be webcast on her obituary page at www.HeffnerCare.com Sandy has requested bright colors be worn to her service! Born August 25, 1939 in York, a daughter of the late Dan and Flora “Dottie” Chilcoat, she was a 1955 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Sandy had worked for Standard Register, York Bank, and Miller & Company before retiring in 2002 from AllFirst Bank. She had attended Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Bode leaves two children, Sharon Bode and husband John Cimbalo of Bloomfield, NY and David Bode and wife Cynthia of York; four grandchildren, Benjamin Bode and wife Ciara, Sarah Lingg and husband Kyle, Morgan Jones and husband Mark, and Alec Bode; five great grandchildren, Gwendalynn and Hudson Bode, Amelia and Harrison Lingg, and Natalie Jones; two brothers, Dan Chilcoat and wife Debbie with children Korina and Larry of Punta Gorda, FL, Randy Chilcoat and son Anthony of Lancaster; a sister, Danita Rauhauser of York with children Heather Ison and Graham Rauhauser; several nieces and nephews; and she enjoyed the love of many friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Fred, Robert, and Ted Bode.
