Ruth N. Claudio

YORK- Ruth N. (Vazquez) Claudio, 64, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the wife of Douglas Claudio. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2024.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Carlos Gonzalez will be officiating at the service.

Mrs. Claudio was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on July 29, 1960, the daughter of Nydia (Santiago) Vazquez of Cayey, Puerto Rico and the late Damaso Vazquez. She retired from Hoboken Family Planning, Inc. in Union City, NJ after 12 years of service. After retirement, she and her daughter became co-owners and operators of Life as a Christian Store in York.

Ruth was a member of Iglesia Jesucristo es el Rey in York, where she was the leader of the women’s group. She enjoyed working with her daughter as a party planner for weddings, baby showers, and events.

Ruth leaves two daughters, Shandri Gonsalves and her husband MarcAnthony of Texas and Larisse Reinoso and her husband Wilson of York; four grandchildren, Elieser, Angelisse, and Dominic Reinoso and Scarlett R. Gonsalves; as well as two brothers and five sisters.
