Ruth N. Becker

Ruth N. (Wagner) Becker, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her residence in Cordorus Township.

Born June 30, 1937 in York, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert R. Wagner Sr., and Florence L. (Eckenrode) Wagner.

She was employed with Wellspan-York Hospital for 30 years in Central Supply, retiring as a Lead Service/Reprocessing Technician. In addition, she was also employed with SpiriTrust Lutheran-The Village at Sprenkle Drive in their Alzheimer’s Unit and in housekeeping at Margaret Moul Home.

Mrs. Becker is survived by three children, Ray G. Blymire and wife, Karen of Glen Rock, Edward T. Blymire Jr. of Hanover and Carla A. Firth and husband, Phil of York; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, one sister, Joan Barnhill and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, William W. Blymire, one daughter, Tammy J. Blymire and seven siblings.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00AM, Monday, August 10, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00AM, Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. Jacob’s Union Cemetery-York New Salem.
