Ruth A. Atkins

DOVER—Ruth A. (Hare) Atkins, 79, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at her residence in Dover Township. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the family’s convenience. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Born April 28, 1940 in Marriottsville, MD, she was a daughter of the late Emory and Laura (Adams) Hare. She was employed as a commercial cleaner with Judy’s Cleaning. Mrs. Atkins is survived by a son, Jeffrey E. Haymire of Dover; three daughters, Barbara J. Medicus of Dover, Charlotte A. Hansen of Littlestown and Ruthetta Lynn Atkins of McSherrystown; numerous grandchildren; one brother, Earl Hare of Delaware and nieces and nephews. She as preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Atkins and seven siblings.
