Ronald Lynn "Doc" Seaks, Sr.

RED LION – Ronald L. “Doc” Seaks, Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Cheryl A. (Sackett) Seaks and the couple shared 45 years of marriage.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Beginning at 3:00 PM there will be military honors provided by the York County Veterans’ Honor Guard.

Born March 10, 1951, in Winterstown PA, Doc was a son of the late John D. Seaks, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth (Sechrist) Seaks. Doc attended Red Lion High School and graduated from York Vo-Tech. Doc was a proud veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War in the Army Security Agency. Doc was a member of the Kreutz Creek VFW, and spent his free time fishing, hunting, tying flies, and watching the Orioles or Steelers.

Doc is survived by his two children, Nicholas A. Seaks, and Laura Burkholder; two grandchildren, Taylar Boyer, and Brooke Burkholder; two sisters, Bonnie Bonager, and Debra Seaks; two nephews, Steven Seaks, and Douglas Hoffmaster; and a niece, Tracey Lowrey. In addition to his beloved wife, Doc is preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Seaks, Jr.; and three siblings, John D. Seaks, Jr., Beverly Seaks, and Dawn Seaks.
