RED LION - Ronald P. Archer, 62, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville, VA. He was the husband of Beulah (Morris) Archer to whom he was married for 35 years. Funeral services and burial will be private. Born June 7, 1946 in New York, NY, a son of George and Theresa Pumphrey, he was a truck driver for Palmentere Brothers Trucking Co. and had previously worked for Warner's Moving and Storage. In addition to his wife, Mr. Archer is survived by a daughter, Melissa Archer of York.
