Ronald A. Miller

RED LION- Ronald A. Miller, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Genesis South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Markel) Miller. The couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on August 6, 2024. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a viewing from 9:30-11 a.m. Pastor Beth R. Holz will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.

Mr. Miller was born in Chanceford Township on July 25, 1934, the son of the late Andrew W. and Sarah K. (Moore) Miller. He worked for Warner Dairies, which then became Rutter’s Dairies for over 45 years before retiring. 

Mr. Miller was a life member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Brogue, where he was involved with many group activities, was a Sunday school teacher as well as serving on numerous chairmanships. He enjoyed working outdoors, especially in his vegetable and flower gardens. 

Mr. Miller leaves a daughter, Debra L. Werner of Red Lion; two sons, Ronald A. “Butch” Miller, II of Red Lion and Edward A. Miller and his wife Julie of Red Lion, three grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Tiffany Dettinger and her husband Casey, and Alison Miller and her husband Daniel Mount; a great granddaughter, Kyla Dettinger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula M. Miller; a brother, Daren Miller; and a sister, Lorna Trump.
