WILLIAMSPORT - Roland L. “Ron” Weaver, 73, died early Tuesday morning, February 21, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean L. Artman with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage this past September. Roland was born on September 8, 1938 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Paul and Bessie (Hill) Weaver. He had attended Jersey Shore schools and the Williamsport Area Community College. Roland served as a Pvt. with the United States Marines and worked various jobs including driving truck for Stroehmann’s Bakery, Decker’s Leather and was an American General Insurance representative for over 11 years. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, S. Williamsport and enjoyed hunting with his sons and spending time with his family. You could always find him tinkering with various projects in the basement. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Ronald and Cathy Weaver of Williamsport and Paul Weaver of S. Williamsport, three grandchildren; Tyler, Benjamin and Tosha Weaver and one great-granddaughter; Lilly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Pauline Baldasare and Elizabeth “Sis” Stewart. The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with Pastor Gunther Bernhardt officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial donations be made in honor of Roland’s life to the North Central Pennsylvania Dialysis Clinic, 1660 Sycamore Rd., Montoursville, PA 17754.
