Thomasville – Rodney J. Howlett Sr., 71, passed away on October 5, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM on October 14, 2025, at Olewiler &Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA, 17356 with Pastor Tim Hodge officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Born on January 28, 1954, in Havre De Grace, Maryland., he was the son of the late Robert J. and Doris P. (Robinette) Howlett. Mr. Howlett retired from BAE Systems where he worked as a painter in their body shop for about 20 years. He was a member of the Liberty Christian Center of Pylesville, MD.
Rodney enjoyed his music, not only playing the guitar in the church band, but also playing for his Christian band. He collected many cars and enjoyed watching drag racing and was always telling big stories.
Mr. Howlett is survived by, his son, Rodney J. Howlett, Jr. and his wife Shannon of Dallastown, PA; his sister, Karen Brown and her husband Larry of Falling Waters, WV.; three grandchildren, Rodney J. Howlett III, Bronson G. Love, and Jason C. Howlett; and four great grandchildren, Charlotte, Alencia, Alania, and Bentley; and many nieces and nephews and his loving Jack Russell Terrier, Dinky. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael D. Howlett, Sr.
