Robert R. Helmer, Sr.

WHITE HAVEN-Robert Russel Helmer, Sr., 87, of White Haven, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009. Born in White Haven on November 22, 1921, he was a son of the late Frederick and Arovesta (Shive) Helmer. He was a graduate of White Haven High School. He was a dairy farmer and retired from Keystone Job Corp, Drums. He was preceded in death by his brothers, David, Frederick, Harold and Edward and sister, Mrs. Abbie Stiller. Surviving is his wife the former Bertha E. Ehrgott; son, Robert R. Helmer, Jr.; granddaughter Melissa Helmer. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
