YORK-Robert L. Brenneman, 85, of West Manchester Township, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Gebhart) Brenneman. The couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2023.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on December 27, 2023 at St. David’s E.C. Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., in Dover, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Following the service there will be a light lunch to follow at the church. The Reverend Pat Teaford will be officiating at the service. Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery in York with full military honors by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Bob was born in New Kingstown, PA on June 1, 1938, a son of the late William Brenneman and Clara (Bricker) Fenicle. He was a commercial and residential real estate appraiser. He was a partner with Orberg and Brenneman Appraisals and owner of Brenneman Appraisals.
Bob was a member of Shiloh American Legion, post 791, West York VFW post 8951, and the Viking Athletic Club. He was a 1956 Graduate of Northern High School in Dillsburg. He enjoyed traveling to many locations, especially his trip to Alaska. He was past president of Shady Lane Lodge in Perry County and also enjoyed hunting in Potter County. He served in the US Navy.
Bob leaves three sons, Michael L. Brenneman (Barbara), James B. Brenneman (Beverly), and Dan Abel (Sheri); six grandchildren, Gretchen Tankersley (Shane), Tiffany Amolsch (Dan), Brian Brenneman (Julie), Alyssa Daugherty (Chris), Taylor Abel (Raquel), and Nicole Theofanis (Dimitri); 12 great grandchildren; a brother, George Fenicle (Dixie); a sister, Nancy LaFlamme (Hank); a sister-in-law, Gerry; and a brother-in-law, John. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Brenneman, Jr; and two sisters Joyce Simon and Mary Brownewell.
