Robert J. Smith

LITITZ- Robert J. Smith, 77, formerly of Lewisberry, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Betty J. (Shoaff) Smith.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Jeffrey C. Schell will be officiating at the service. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Robert’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry.

Mr. Smith was born in Shippensburg on April 12, 1947, the son of the late John Frank and Betty Bell (Smith) Smith. He grew up working on his parents’ dairy farm in Lewisberry. He retired from Woolworth, Inc. in Camp Hill.

Mr. Smith leaves two daughters, Sandra E. Grose and her husband Johnny of Lititz and Christine Sutley and her husband Eugene of Dover; four grandchildren, Codi Smith, Ziva Grose, Joshua Smith, and Emma Sutley; three sisters, Donna Bertolette and her husband Richard of Lewisberry; Mary Havice and her husband David of Milroy, and Brenda Gill of New Cumberland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Warren Gill.
