Rickey L. Dettinger

RED LION – Rickey L. Dettinger, 54, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Vicki L. (Althoff) Dettinger to whom he was married for 16 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 - 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Born November 24, 1963 in York, a son of Kaye L. (Seaks) Dettinger of Red Lion and her friend Donald Rohrbaugh and the late Dean L. Dettinger; he was a 1981 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Rickey had worked at Campbell Chain for 25 years and has spent the past three years as a successful eBay online retailer. He enjoyed photography, fishing, hunting and being a member at Bear’s Den Hunting Camp in Blair County. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dettinger is survived by a stepson, Noah D. and wife Heather Althoff of York; two brothers, Gary D. and wife Laurie Dettinger and Rande E. and wife Vicki Dettinger both of York; a sister, Jennifer K. Dettinger of York; three nephews, Aaron and Adam Dettinger and Jaden Allison; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
