Richard Allen "Rick" Lehr

YORK-Richard Allen “Rick” Lehr, Sr., 73, of Manchester Township, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026 at his residence.

Rick was born in New Freedom on June 11, 1953, the son of the late Russell and Frances (Lake) Lehr. He was self-employed, running a tree cutting service. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, fishing and hunting, especially birds.

Rick leaves a son, Richard A. Lehr, Jr. and his wife Jess of York; two daughters, Tammi L. Lehr and her significant other, Daniel Waring of Windsor and Tina M. Ryer of Red Lion; six grandchildren, Bradly, Marcine, Joshua, Jazmen, Jeremy, and Jordan; 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Russell Lehr, Jr.; two sisters, Wanda Innerst and Judy Gregory; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers: Donald, Ronald, Lonnie, Marlin, Gene, and Charlie; and four sisters: Joan Ritz, Faye Devoe, Shirley Schmidt, and Diane Hershner. Rick will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

There will be a celebration of Rick’s life from 2-4 pm on Sat. Aug 15th at Rick, Jr. and Jess’s house: 301 Gwen drive, York, PA 17404. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is honored to serve the family.
