Richard L. Schenck

YORK - Richard L. Schenck, 84, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Manor Care - South. He was the husband of the late Lois (Zarfoss) Schenck. Funeral services and burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born February 24, 1925 in York a son of the late William H. and Ruth E. (Wire) Schenck, he graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1943. Mr. Schenck retired as President of Kroy Manufacturing. He was a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Outdoor Country Club, and was a founding member of Devers Lions Club. He was a US Navy veteran having served in both WWII and Korean War. Mr. Schenck is survived by two brothers, Robert L. Schenck and James C. Schenck both of York; two sisters, Mary Smith of Fleetwood, PA and Barbara Beckner of Ft. Myers, FL; and nieces and nephews.
