Richard J. Laury

WILKES-BARRE-Richard J. Laury, 73, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday in Kindred Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 2, 1937, he was a son of the late Medio and Mary (Steffonti) Laury. He was the owner of R & L Construction, Wilkes-Barre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Laury and Carol Novak. Surviving are his children, Richard J. Laury, Linda Gallagher and Brenda Laury-Herring, all of Nanticoke; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Gerry Wright, Hanover Green, several nieces and nephews. A Committal Service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
