Rhoda Mae Brown

YORK HAVEN- Rhoda Mae (Harro) Brown, 80, of Newberry Township entered into Heaven with her family by her side on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Brown. A private burial will be held in St. John’s Lewisberry Cemetery. Beaver- Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mrs. Brown was born in Lewisberry on March 23, 1942, the daughter of the late Alton E. and Kathryn E. (Snyder) Harro. Mrs. Brown enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. She was known to have a green thumb. She also enjoyed crocheting in which she made blankets for her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Brown leaves her companion, Charles A. Hawthorn; four daughters, Colleen M. Bashore of York Haven, Lori A. Gordon and her husband Bill of Shermansdale, Kimberly S. Eichelberger and her husband Gregry of Lewisberry, Jen Updegraff of York Haven; eight grandchildren, Erin, Sharissa, Ashlee, Cody, Austin, Katelyn, Juliana, and Zachry. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren, Bryce, Mikayla, Braylon, Leland, Hudson, Mason, Ella Grace, Easton, Kambria, and Carson; three sisters, Mary Crocker, Martha Hollinger, and Opal Beitler; and her little girls, Bella and Zoey. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Lenker and a brother, Vance Kohler.
