Ray L. Miller, 72, of Windsor, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at his residence. He was the life partner of Dawn L. (Herman) Fryberger, to whom he spent his life with for over 40 years.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is honored to serve the family.

Born October 20, 1953, in York, he was a son of the late Ray Burkins and Frances R. (Schrum) Miller. Mr. Miller attended Eastern York High School. He began his career by working at Quality Auto Salvage, followed by a position at Harbold’s Truck Service, where he earned his inspection license. He then moved on to Beasley Ford, continuing to build his experience as a mechanic. Over the years, he worked at several local garages, including Keller’s, Den’s, Johnny Snyder’s, and Robbie’s Oil. He concluded his career at Lake Clarke Marina, where he took on a wide range of roles doing anything and everything. Outside of his hard work, he loved working on old cars, going to the Susquehanna River, and was a member of Yorkana Game and Gun Club, jokingly referred to as “The Old Man Club.”

In addition to his beloved life partner, Dawn, he is survived by five children, Jack D. Fryberger of Fairbanks, AK, Jason R. Fryberger and his wife Tiffany B. of Windsor, Stacy L. Fryberger of York, Holly A. Fryberger and Melissa M. Fryberger both of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren with a sixth on the way; and four siblings, Roger E. Miller and his wife Gina, Nancy L. Carter and her husband Gary, Sandy M. Miller Leese and her husband Dan, and Jean E. Miller Resendiz. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Burkins and Frances (Schrum) Miller.
